Client Evaluations

Just got this today and played around with it for a whilst. I was thinking of acquiring the iP9 final week, but am so glad I didn't since this a single has been listed on Amazon considering the fact that then at nearly the identical value.
I've tested the alarms, which function as they will need to. When the unit itself has the 2 alarms similar to the older version of this (iP9), the app, which is absolutely free to download via the app store, can have quite a few alot more alarms. The attributes I truly delight in on the app are getting able to select "bedtime" music, and choose certain songs to play to fall asleep to or wake up to, and you can even set the volume on your person alarms. The app also has factors like the climate displayed on the alarm screen, which is normally nice to know when you wake up. What I also genuinely get pleasure from about this when compared to the typical iPhone alarm is becoming able to set the time for the snooze. The unit comes with the docks to support multiple devices, but I like that I can also plug my iPhone in devoid of there being a dock given that I have a pretty thick case on my iPhone. A further good function is that by the press of a button on the device, you can sync the time on the clock to match your iPhone time. The one particular con I have identified in the few hours I've had this is that the time does not stay synced, but is not off by far more than a minute (this is stated in the user manual as nicely).
Overall, the reality that I can set the alarms and much more from an app tends to make this alarm clock definitely worth it. The sound quality is also really terrific and doubles nicely as speakers in the bedroom.
The app is referred to as iHome+Sleep (Free), and there is also one other one particular that you can use to wake up to net radio stations (iHome+Radio) which expenses $2.99, though I haven't tried that one out yet.
UPDATE 11/29/11:
I've had this for a couple of months. I am not as impressed with the App as I was at the beginning. I've located bugs in it and it really is failed me a few instances (fortunately I was never late). The alarms on the unit itself perform pretty effectively. Maybe I just haven't figured it out perfectly, but the app alarms have not honestly worked smoothly for me. Relating to other points...I really like the nap feature that is both on the app and the unit. Also to note, the alarm DOES go off when the telephone is on silent.
I decreased the stars I gave it from five to 4 simply because of the app, but I nevertheless advocate this iHome, particularly considering that the former version that has fewer functions is alot more high-priced now as it's getting phased out.

This factor was easy to set up, looks incredibly slick, is really compact but it has a Tremendous sound. Who would have thought a clock radio with bass and treble manage! Nicely, I guess IHome did... Like the dimmable LCD and backlighting on the buttons. I've been laying a handkerchief over my prior clock radio for the reason that it was as well bright subsequent to the bed. 1 word of warning.... The "App-Enhanced" is a thing that is NOT built into the radio, it just implies that it will play apps from the IPod/Telephone when it's plugged in. I have an IPod Classic which is not connected to the net so I will not be able to listen to online radio as I expected. I compared this unit to the Logitech Squeezebox and in all probability would have spent the added dough to access Spotify and other streaming music sources. Oh nicely, I'll maintain it since it sounds so good.
