Customer Evaluations
I will sum up my expertise with this item with straight forward points.
The Decent:
1. The sound high quality is good.
2. The preset radio stations, audio in, and iPod/iPhone plug operates wonderful and, like I said, produces good audio.
three. The display is great and offers a number of distinctive levels of dimming.
4. Battery backup is great.
5. The ability to sync time with your iPhone is cool as well.
The Poor:
1. The "app" that they sell to "enhance" it doesn't work. Just look on the app store. 1 Star rating and many unfavorable reviews.
two. If you set the volume low for "sleep" mode, that is the volume that it utilizes to wake you up in the morning (when the alarm functions...see "the ugly")! So essentially, you are supposed to wake up to the similar level of sound that you had been in a position to fall asleep also. Yeah...that's a good thought. The app "enhancement" can repair this, but like I mentioned, the app itself doesn't perform.
three. If you make a decision that you want to use the sleep feature but want a thing else beside music to wake you up, there is a "buzzer" function. Nicely, the "buzzer" sounds much more like an alarm on a children's wrist watch...just a small beep-beep-beep. Decent luck waking up to that.
The Ugly:
1. The alarm is intermittent in all wake up modes....AM/FM, line in, "buzzer", iPod. It merely does not operate in some cases. I've attempted many distinct variables for a week and haven't figured out what makes it function and what doesn't.
2. If your device has a "sleep" mode or the screen instances out immediately after a certain quantity of time (like, oh six-8 hours of sleeping), then so does the audio. IF YOUR ALARM IS SET TO WAKE TO AUDIO, IT WILL NOT SOUND! The only way to keep away from this is to have your screen remain on all the time, stare at the vibrant light from the screen at night, then adjust the settings in the AM so your battery is not killed for the duration of the day. Rather inefficient.
The Bottom line is that if you want a cheap speaker set for your device that also produces good sound, this is fantastic. Even so, be warned that if you are seeking for an alarm clock, Look ELSEWHERE!
This unit has been amazing so far with no concerns at all. It has two separate alarms which you can set to whatever day of the week you want. You can set it to wake up to the radio (which has amazing reception), ipod, or aux port. The speakers are way more than acceptable for a unit this compact and for the cost. Even the remote works anywhere in the room regardless if you are behind the unit or not, some thing I haven't observed in a worth technique. The element that confused me was that there weren't any instructions on how to stand the antenna. I lastly figured out that the stand is built into it if you fold the piece in the middle and snap it to the bottom. General I am quite happy with this alarm clock.
