Customer Evaluations

I will sum up my expertise with this item with straight forward points.
The Decent:
1. The sound high quality is good.
2. The preset radio stations, audio in, and iPod/iPhone plug operates wonderful and, like I said, produces good audio.
three. The display is great and offers a number of distinctive levels of dimming.
4. Battery backup is great.
5. The ability to sync time with your iPhone is cool as well.
The Poor:
1. The "app" that they sell to "enhance" it doesn't work. Just look on the app store. 1 Star rating and many unfavorable reviews.
two. If you set the volume low for "sleep" mode, that is the volume that it utilizes to wake you up in the morning (when the alarm functions...see "the ugly")! So essentially, you are supposed to wake up to the similar level of sound that you had been in a position to fall asleep also. Yeah...that's a good thought. The app "enhancement" can repair this, but like I mentioned, the app itself doesn't perform.
three. If you make a decision that you want to use the sleep feature but want a thing else beside music to wake you up, there is a "buzzer" function. Nicely, the "buzzer" sounds much more like an alarm on a children's wrist watch...just a small beep-beep-beep. Decent luck waking up to that.
The Ugly:
1. The alarm is intermittent in all wake up modes....AM/FM, line in, "buzzer", iPod. It merely does not operate in some cases. I've attempted many distinct variables for a week and haven't figured out what makes it function and what doesn't.
2. If your device has a "sleep" mode or the screen instances out immediately after a certain quantity of time (like, oh six-8 hours of sleeping), then so does the audio. IF YOUR ALARM IS SET TO WAKE TO AUDIO, IT WILL NOT SOUND! The only way to keep away from this is to have your screen remain on all the time, stare at the vibrant light from the screen at night, then adjust the settings in the AM so your battery is not killed for the duration of the day. Rather inefficient.
The Bottom line is that if you want a cheap speaker set for your device that also produces good sound, this is fantastic. Even so, be warned that if you are seeking for an alarm clock, Look ELSEWHERE!

This unit has been amazing so far with no concerns at all. It has two separate alarms which you can set to whatever day of the week you want. You can set it to wake up to the radio (which has amazing reception), ipod, or aux port. The speakers are way more than acceptable for a unit this compact and for the cost. Even the remote works anywhere in the room regardless if you are behind the unit or not, some thing I haven't observed in a worth technique. The element that confused me was that there weren't any instructions on how to stand the antenna. I lastly figured out that the stand is built into it if you fold the piece in the middle and snap it to the bottom. General I am quite happy with this alarm clock.

Preface:
I'm a actual verified reviewer not a stealth or robo-reviewer - click on my profile and evaluate my reviews to the other reviewers of this product. Look at the number of evaluations and the time span.
Updates: As time passes I will add updates, especially any failures or issues.
Review:
I purchased this are Costco on sale for $70. Costco frequently tries to choose ideal of breed products / brands. Note: I can not uncover this product on Costco's website I only found it in my nearby Costco on Marketplace street in San Diego, CA. At that price tag I believe it is an excellent worth. At very first I was shocked by the rates on iPod clock radios (I have been working with the very same alarm clock radio that I got as a free gift for opening a checking account 20 years ago. But as I soon identified out this factor ROCKS in several methods...
Functions WITH MY 4G (Fourth Generation) iPod Touch. comes with adapters for various size ipods and iphone. Completely compatible with iOS five.1
PROS:
- Vibrant display with 7? brightness levels including so dim you virtually can't see it in the dark - for those bothered by light at night.
- Major display that contains Time, Date such as month and day of week!
- LOUD Stereo (two) speakers with impressive bass (like a smaller "Boom Box" aka Old School Stereo so it is fun to listen to music like Rihanna (Rude Boy) lol.
- You can raise and lower the volume and skip via songs on the ipod by using the controls on the ihome.
- There is a Free App in the iTunes shop that you can download named iHome and you can configure any preference setting, wake up alamrs (two), time, date, and so on on the clock radio from you ipod! How cool is that
- You can even configure the volume of the wake alarm.
- Presets - there are five presets for AM and 5 for FM. One button toggles you via them.
- Sync - the time can be synced with your ipod at the touch of a button from the radio or your ipod utilizing the iHome App. Can use GMT time and daylight savings. You can download and update the Firmware (software that runs the clock radio) so bugs can be fixed by making use of your ipod! How cool is that!
- consists of Line In so ANY phone or brand of divice that accepts headphones can be used with this Clock radio - I feel it comes with the male to male mini phone jack cord - if not go to radio shack, or nearly any electronic shop perfect obtain and so on.
- Provides radio a whole new meaning - I listen to audio books, I listen to music in the morning - and you can wake to your preferred song, Comes with a wire for FM and a "donut" thing for AM. Scanning is fairly for radio stations is quickly.
- iPod / Pod casts: now I listen to all types of radio shows by downloading them by way of wifi / wireless net and then play them as I have time all although relaxing in bed or stretching. I can pipe in Pandora as well - devoid of turning on the computer system. Also, I downloaded an App for my iPod known as "Sleep Machine" - it will play tons of relaxing sounds like waves, rain, wind etc. This clock radio + your iPod consolidate quite a few devices into one: music player, sleep noise maker, audio book, tape recorder, radio, mini stereo, and so on.
-Batteries - it takes two AAA as an alternative of the traditional 9v battery which has a incredibly brief life span, about one particular year. When the batteries are low the screen displays an icon to warn you.
CONS:
iPod dock could be extra supportive - I am afraid that my ipod could snap off or my cats may rub their lip on it and break anything. This is a weakness of a lot of iPod docks. See the Memorex MI4604P Mini Alarm Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone (Black) - it is considerably safer BUT it is not painless to see when in bed.
Controls only operate in the iTunes song App. I purchased and audio book app and it functions but you have to touch the iPod to make it play or pause vs applying the play/pause button on the clock.
Some buttons do not operate appropriate at times. This is minor. If I press the power button on the clock radio in iPod mode the volume adjustments on the ipod. Not certain why this occurs - minor software program glitch.
NO BLUETOOTH, this is an inexpensive add on that the manufactures are holding out on. It is effortless to work with your ipod / phone and there is on connection to ever wear-out and you get complete stereo sound.
Stars: four.7 / 5. there is still area for minor improvements in this item.

In theory, this is exactly what we wanted. In practice, 3 of the buttons didn't function appropriate out of the box, making it impossible to set the alarm. What we got to perform was superior: very good sound radio reception, fine visibility of the time. I'd regard this as an anomaly if it weren't for the other critiques, which tends to make it sound like they just have poor top quality manage.

The iHome iP92BZ is a awesome investment if you have to have a new alarm clock and speakers to play you iPod. A sleek searching clock that compliments any space, it gives awesome sound quality, a fantastic radio, and comes with a useful remote. It has a dual alarm technique that makes it possible for you to set two distinct alarms, for example, an alarm for the weekdays and 1 for the weekends. The iP92BZ offers a wide variety of methods for the alarm to go off, it could be your iPod's music, a buzzer or even the radio. I am a single of those people that get pleasure from listening to music daily and so having a system that produces high quality music is a must and the iHome iP92BZ does exactly that. Volume is under no circumstances a trouble, at 50% volume the sound additional than fills any space and at even greater levels the sound remains crystal clear and distortion free. This version of the iHome also gives a great radio excellent, generally reception at my property is an concern, but with this technique I get fine reception with tiny static. The clock is really effortless to set up mainly because there is a time zone button which you click and then choose the time zone your in, and on top that there is a daylight savings switch so you don't have to worry about trying to figure out how to transform the time manually.

The iHome software application is on the market totally free on the iTunes web site will allow access to a neat set of characteristics, that I will leave for you to uncover.
The system is not great. It is not a compact technique. It has a rather huge footprint when employed on a nightstand. Some of the settings buttons are situated on the back of the device, which tends to make them challenging to discover and use if you don't notice them.
This newest edition to the iHome line provides high good quality sound and terrific features at a reasonable cost. You will not be disappointed with the acquire of this newest member of the iHome loved ones.

this isnt a negative item but i have to entirely agree with 1 other user about the nap feature-very good idea of allowing you to push a button for a good nap at specific time intervals-BUT- the only alarm offered is the buzzer-which can not be adjusted for volume-and is set at such an extremely low volume that i can be awake and subsequent to it and not confident it is even ringing-seriously,i cant comprehend how this was alowed to proceed to production with this flaw-like all the other characteristics but need to say i am peeved that such a beneficial feature is worthless
